Environment protection policy has crucial importance in the stimulation of economic growth in the global economy. Smart Continent assists public and private decision makers in shaping sustainable development keeping environment green and safe. An integrated approach comprising economic, institutional and technical perspectives is vital for greening environment. We participate actively in research and innovation projects as well as in coordination and support actions in H2020 work-programme climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials. Our key focus area is circular economy, urban ecosystems and recycling as well reverse logistics and sustainable row materials. We work closely with local public authorities by transferring knowledge and experience from more developed regions. We shape solutions and tools which in efficient manner helps to change behaviour industries. Also we contribute to shaping innovative policy and reinforcement tools for policy planners. Smart Continent is proud to be partners in projects CIVITAS initiative projects such as CIVTAS-PORTIS, CIVITAS-SUITS, DISTENDER and cooperate with the leading institutes and universities in Europe.
